NVU-Lyndon Student Pantry
The NVU-Lyndon Student Pantry is designed to meet the immediate food needs of students on campus by providing a variety of non-perishable food items and basic necessities to students and their families. This project was created and funded by the NVU-Lyndon Student Government Association as one way to support students in their academic endeavors at Lyndon.
How To Use the Pantry
The pantry is open to all students and students do not need to provide any proof of need in order to access it. Students may not utilize the pantry more than two times per month in an effort to meet the needs of as many students as possible. If you are in need of items from the pantry, please e-mail LyndonStudentLife@NorthernVermont.edu or call (802)-274-3152 to schedule a time to meet. Use of the pantry is confidential and names of individuals utilizing this resource will not be shared with individuals outside of those operating the pantry.
What's in the Pantry?
The pantry is filled with non-perishable food items as well as personal hygiene and self-care products. Items currently available include canned food such as soup, pasta, and vegetables, quick meals such as Ramen noodles and macaroni and cheese, pasta and sauce, rice, and snack foods. It also contains items such as deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, dental care, razors, bath towels, bed sheets, laundry detergent, and more.
Due to limitations on space, we currently only accept non-perishable foods with good "Best Buy" dates, personal hygiene items, and soft goods such as sheets and towels. All donations must be new and in their original packaging. Due to limitations in space, we do not accept donations of clothing. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please contact Erin Rossetti, Director of Student Life, at Erin.Rossetti@NorthernVermont.edu. Funds collected through donations will be used to stock the pantry.
